
Try out and learn about track cycling
Learn track cycling basics from some of the best track cyclist in the Midwest on the historic Washington Park Velodrome. These one-a-month, three-hour clinic will introduce the track bicycle, velodrome basics, proper track etiquette, group riding skills and mock racing.
If you don’t have a track bike, there are limited track bikes available to borrow, and this service is included in the entry price. If you need to borrow a bike, please coordinate with Chris Riva ahead of your date.
Once you’ve completed Track 101, you are able to jump into Tuesday Night racing.
What to bring
- A helmet
- Cycling shoes
- Track bike with pedals (If you are renting a bike, you may bring your own pedals)
- Appropriate cycling gear

No racing experience needed. Need to be at least 9 years old. Youngers can participate in Monday Night Stock Bike racing instead. Track 101 is more fun with teammates, friends, family and riding buddies, so bring them along. Need a periodic refresh? Come to one or come to all of them.
